I/O-Module mit einer Bitbreite kleiner 8 können zur Optimierung des Adressraumes in jeweils einem Byte zusammengefasst werden.Weiterhin besteht die Möglichkeit
projektierte I/O-Module zu deaktivieren. Dadurch kann der physikalische Aufbau des Knotens bezüglich seiner Peripheriesignale individuell gestaltet werden
