Took the 308E for a demo, was pretty impressed with the three track options. Ended up using the steel with rubber blocks - seemed to do the trick for the streets I was on. Not sure I'll ever mess with the others but cool to have choices. Controls felt natural once I remembered they're the same as the loaders, so no big adjustment if you hop between machines. Changing buckets with the new coupler, I mean, didn't even have to climb out - that's a win on muddy days. Didn't get a chance to see how it holds up long term. Cab is bigger for sure compared to older minis, no complaints there. A little more noise inside than I hoped but not a dealbreaker.

Used the 308E mainly for some ditching and fiddly work around the farm. Controls feel really good, I like how smooth you can be with the joystick, it’s not jerky like some other machines I’ve been on. The visibility is a big plus for me - I actually feel like I know what’s going on around me, good mirrors all round. Only thing is, when you’re switching attachments for different stuff, the pins could be a bit easier, took me longer than I’d like. Otherwise, it’s handled 3 days’ work before needing more diesel, which is solid. Not the biggest machine, which is what I wanted anyway, fits our jobs. Wouldn’t mind a more comfy seat on those longer days though.
